“Massage has been my passion most of my life, and became a reality in 1989 when attending my first workshop set the wheels in motion. Over the years, some of my teachers have been leaders in our field of soft tissue therapy, both here in Australia, and overseas therapists. As luck with have it, they have helped me develop into the tutor I am today. Imparting this knowledge and skill to my students is my privilege. Every student brings special energy making every class unique with their skills developing like magic.”

Barbara obtained a Diploma in Remedial Massage in 1991.  Since then, she has run her own practice for 18 years in Melbourne, lectured in all types of massage, including remedial and shiatsu, and conducted many workshops for Reiki healing therapies, in Melbourne.

An opportunity to work for Byron Community College came up in 2008, and culminated in teaching Certificate IV in Massage Therapy 2009 and 2010.

Barbara relates that a career highlight was winning the Sustainability Award in 2009 for her submission in how to make a Massage Practice sustainable.
