Aged Care – Certificate IV (CHC40108)
A career in Aged Care can be challenging and rewarding. People suited to this profession often demonstrate genuine compassion and empathy towards others. The Aged Care Industry is a growing sector, providing graduates with flexibility and career options nationwide.
The Certificate IV in Aged Care is for people wishing to work in residential facilities and the community providing advanced personal care. This qualification will give you the skills and knowledge to provide services to individuals with complex needs and/or work with groups of older people. Work may include training and support to promote independence and community participation. These workers may be required to supervise and/or coordinate a limited number of other workers. | Dates: | Tuesdays, 12th June to 27th November (no break during NSW school holidays), 9 am – 4 pm. This is the equivalent of a full-time course. Home study is required. A component of Work Experience may be required if not employed in the Aged Care industry. |
| Course Length: | 25 weeks |
| Entry Requirements : | Certificate III in Aged Care (or equivalent), or an ability to demonstrate equivalent competency through recognition of previous work experience within the industry. A competent level of literacy and numeracy is required to complete the qualification and a willingness to work with the elderly. |
