Bamboo is the most versatile and sustainable of building materials. Using the basic skills and techniques gained in this workshop you will be able to make simple structures at home using a range of tools and techniques. We will cover harvest and treatment of poles as well as splitting, weaving, drilling and binding. So come along and learn about building a simple structure, how to split and weave bamboo to make a screen or fence and many other things. But be careful bamboo is addictive.

What to bring

  • Wear clothes suitable to work in outside, hat and gloves
  • Pen and paper
  • Own lunch
  • $15 to pay tutor for materials

Important information

Once your enrolment is completed you will receive a confirmation email.
