A hectic world can spin our busy mind way too fast. Over-thinking saps energy, strains the nervous system, drains the brain and depletes physical health. Discover mindfulness-based strategies that slow a racing mind while building personal effectiveness, emotional resilience, focus, clarity, vibrancy and clear direction.

In this course we will be

  • investigating wellbeing and its causes
  • delving into the neuroscience of stress
  • exploring the emotional basis for over-thinking
  • examining our personal narratives
  • learning tools for diffusing difficult or persistent thoughts
  • practicing enjoyable relaxation techniques and meditations
  • noticing habitual patterns
  • cultivating positive qualities such as self-empathy and savouring
  • enhancing memory, attention span and reaction times
  • gathering ‘take home’ tips to support our practice

What to bring

  • A yoga mat if you have one (I have spares)
  • A warm covering for relaxation
  • Pen and paper optional (class notes provided by email after each session)
