Elements Of Watercolour - Online Class

Expresive watercolour painting uses free brush strokes, emotive colour and intuitive design. Practising subjects like landscapes and seascapes, you can achieve that fresh, natural and impressionistic look that people love about watercolours. Ri has 35 years experience teaching this exquisite and luminous medium. She reckons you’d be able to paint confidently with the skills you gain in this course. Additional material fees apply.

What to bring

  • Watercolour Tubes: cadmium red, permanent rose, cadmium yellow, lemon yellow, ultramarine blue, prussian blue'
  • Brushes: Round – numbers 6, 14, 20 and a flat – 1 inch
  • Palette: white china plates, watercolour palette with large mixing area or white enamel tray
  • Miscellaneous: two water pots, paper towels, holey sponge, single edged razor blade, cotton buds, spray bottle, old plastic credit card, cotton rags
  • Watercolour Paper: 300gm Bockingford rough or cold-pressed – a pad or two large sheets

This is an online class

  • learn from the comfort of your own home, this class will be delivered live online via the Zoom platform
  • you need an email address, a reliable internet connection, a microphone/speakers and access to a tablet, smartphone or computer
  • please ensure your email address is correct when enrolling, as a Zoom link to the class will be sent via email
