This course is aimed at people who feel that their work and study life would be better if they improved their English skills. Over eight weeks you will be:

  1. Provided with plenty of opportunities to practice your speaking and listening in a work/study context;
  2. Introduced to strategies for reading texts encountered in the workplace and in vocational study; and
  3. Given tasks to help enhance your writing skills in a work/study environment.

Units from a nationally recognised qualification in the Foundation Skills Training Package will be included in the course. This means that by the end of the eight weeks, you will have gained confidence with your English skills AND be eligible for a Statement of Attainment that forms part of the Certificate l in Skills for Vocational Pathways.
