Felting Fundamentals

This course has no current classes. Please the waiting list.

Felting has definitely had a renaissance in the last few years!

Wet felting is the process of using water, soap, wool and friction to merge the fibres together to create a fabric.

Learn the very fundamentals of wet felting, including nuno felting and the resist method. This course is perfect for beginners!

  •  Painting with Wool - You'll learn how wool, water and soap creates felt! We will be making a simple sheet of felt, while focusing on colour and design of the wool just like one would do with paint.
  •  Nuno felting - discover how to mix natural fibres such as silk and cotton into the felting process to create a nuno felted scarf
  • The Resist method - the best part! You'll use the resist method to make your very own hat!

What To Bring:

  • Your own refreshments, snacks and lunch
  • All other materials will be provided
