HLTAID009 - Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
This CPR half-day course is for students who have a CURRENT Provide First Aid qualification OR just wish to learn the CPR unit. This course covers the CPR element of Provide First Aid, which is recommended to be updated every year.
This course teaches you the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines. This course is developed for existing workers in the industry who may require CPR training as recommended by the ARC.
Assessment Requirements:
This course includes a required pre-study online component, followed by a practical course session 2 to to 3 hours at the time you have booked. Pre-study consists of reading learning materials online and answering some short answer questions, for CPR only you should allow approximately one to two hours depending on your previous experience. Students will have 4 weeks post practical to complete online assessments. Thereafter your enrolment will be cancelled and a certificate will not be issued.
Award issued:
Successful participants will be issued with a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for:
HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

USI
From the 1st of January 2015, any student enrolling in an Accredited Training course will be required to obtain a USI. The USI helps to keep your training records and results together in an online account which is controlled by you. You can logon to the USI website and follow the simple instructions online to create your USI. This then needs to be provided to the College at the time of enrolment.
