Over a weekend, you will learn the magical properties of how to dye with Indigo, and experiment with Shibori techniques to create beautiful Blue patterns on natural fabrics.

If you have always wanted to learn about Indigo dyeing, this is the workshop for you! Students will be shown several Shibori techniques, which is the Japanese word for the art of shaped resist dyeing, by using stitching, clamping, folding, twisting, and compressing to create intricate patterns, then immersing into the Indigo vat, to create beautiful results on natural fabrics.

Additional $30 materials fee.

What to bring

  • 1 ball of polyester string
  • Identifying buttons or beads
  • Scissors
  • Wear old clothes and comfy shoes

Important information

Once your enrolment is completed you will receive a confirmation email.
