Interested in learning more about floristry? This 5 week introduction course will step you through the process of creating a variety of floristry designs.

You will gain hands on experience with practical lessons in flower arranging, hand tied bouquets, wiring fresh blooms, gift wrapping and bow construction. Each week you will learn a new design, which once completed is yours to take home.

What you will learn:

  • How to prepare and care for fresh flowers and plant materials
  • Correct storage and conditioning requirements of the materials
  • Common and botanical names of flowers and plant materials used in class
  • Suitable designs for special occassions
  • How to correctly use floristry tools & equipment
  • How to complete orer forms and appropriate card messages
  • Skills in spiralling stems and fine wiring

Entry Requirements

  • No previous experience or knowledge is required.

Course Duration & Hours

  • 5 weeks duration
  • One day of classroom (Wednesdays) 10:00am – 2:00pm per week
  • Delivery location: Mullumbimby Campus

Course Fees

Course Fees are fully subsidised for eligible students, a resource fee applies to all enrolments.

  • Subsidised Fee: $0 (plus resource fee of $250)
  • Full Fee: $440 (plus resource fee of $250)

USI

From the 1st of January 2015, any student enrolling in an Accredited Training course will be required to obtain a USI. The USI helps to keep your training records and results together in an online account which is controlled by you. You can logon to the USI website and follow the simple instructions online to create your USI. This then needs to be provided to the College at the time of enrolment.

Important Information

Once your enrolment is completed you will receive a confirmation email. This email will be your receipt and inform you of the dates, time and venue of your course, it will also let you know of anything you need to take to class with you. Please make sure that you give us a valid email address and mobile number as any course changes will be communicated via sms or email.
