We would like to offer the opportunity for you to learn practical knowledge about what is required to start up, and run your own successful permaculture business from farmers. This course is suitable for those who already have permaculture skills and are wanting to start their own farms, or enterprises, selling the products that they grow or produce. The tutors Isaac Robson and Sheia Kironn, have started, and now run their own farm in Byron Shire….Lifeforce Food Gardens is their business, they are a permaculture based, certified-organic farm based in Mullumbimby, growing affordable and sustainable, food and flowers for the local community.

Isaac brings a wealth of knowledge and experience gained from 22 years work experience in the Fresh Produce Industry in Australia. His experience spans across the following:

  • Produce Warehouse Manager and Primary Wholesaler at Rocklea Markets in Brisbane
  • Secondary Wholesaler and Box Business Manager and Owner in regional Victoria and Brisbane
  • Farmers Market Stall Manager and Owner in regional Victoria and Brisbane
  • Fruit Retail shop manager
  • Grower’s Liaison to conventional farms in Queensland and to Cert Organic Farms in Qld, NSW and Vic.

He would like to share the knowledge he has gained in his previous career, as well as that of his experiences and challenges as a farmer into his second year of production.

Sheia has always had a love of gardening, plants, herbs, healing and nature. She studied a Bachelor of Science (Microbiology, Biochemistry), and developed a keen interest in the use of medicinal plants and traditional medicine systems in ways to bring about balance and harmony in the human body and our Mother Earth using Ayurveda, Feng Shui and Ceremonial work. Also having had experience in starting up and running several businesses, Sheia would like to offer up the opportunity to learn what she now knows and you need to consider when setting out as a farmpreneur. Sheia worked within the Industrial Hemp industry for the previous 5 years before becaming a farmer, and grew Industrial Hemp on the land where the gardens are now located.
