Podcasting is changing the way organisations communicate with customers. This class will teach you how to create, record, and publish your own basic podcast – and build a massive audience of people who want to listen.

Everyone will leave with some level of experience in creating media and each student will put together their own broadcast-quality audio project.
Participants produce:
A short broadcast-quality piece about an interesting person.
Promo/pitch text describing the piece.
Class will feature a public listening night for the finished podcasts, and these segments will be broadcast on BayFM.

Students wanting to publish their own podcast will be encouraged to open a paid hosting account (soundcloud, spreaker, or ?) and set up social media accounts. We do not process any payments nor act as any sort of middleman – only providing our trusted recommendations. Students will also be encouraged to purchase their own audio equipment or to use their smart phones to record.

We will have a variety of audio units available for the class to use in teams during class times.

Important information

Once your enrolment is completed you will receive a confirmation email. This email will be your receipt and inform you of the dates, time and venue of your course, it will also let you know of anything you need to take to class with you.
