Sourdough Bread and Cultured Butter

Join Jean Martinez for a day of baking and culturing. In this class you will learn how to create, feed and care for a rye sourdough starter. Make sourdough bread, as well as a variety of cultured dairy products – including cultured cream and butter, all of which will be enjoyed with local artisanal preserves and cured meats on the day.

Students given notes and container for their dough. This class is mostly demonstration. Students can taste all recipes made and afternoon tea of Bread, Butter & Local Artisanal foods provided.
