If you’ve always wanted to learn electric MIG welding but have never had the opportunity, or you may simply want to hone your welding skills, then here’s your chance. Let metal artisan / fabricator, Nyree, with over 30 years’ experience, take you on a journey to greater independence and practical, creative empowerment through the amazing world of metalwork!

You’ll be instructed on types of welders and their uses before specifically focusing on the versatile mig welder. We’ll compare gas vs. gasless set-ups, learn about different metals, types of welds and problem troubleshooting.

Step by step we’ll explore how to prepare a space, and yourself, for safe and effective welding. There will be plenty of hands-on-tools action to practice your welding skills as well as steel grinding, filing and pop riveting. All this while creating your own pair of unique and funky gardening tools (trowel and fork).

Your tutor, Nyree, is a metal artisan/ fabricator with over 30 years’ metalworking experience and she wants to take you on a journey to greater independence and practical, creative empowerment through the amazing world of metalwork!
